Three aspects of fitness is stamina , strength and flexibility. One has to look at all three and should, at any age, one should push one’s limits keeping in mind not to harm or hurt oneself. I work on all three aspects combining functional training with weights and cardio. I also do yoga once or twice a week for flexibility.
How do you define health & wellness ?
Health is not only a state that is absence of illness but being in an optimal physical and mental state.
Wellness is being in a state where you are at your best, physically and mentally. Its an active process which leads to a satisfying life.
Do women generally ignore their health over other commitments ?
My experience has been that in India, generally women put their children and husbands over themselves. They push their health ailments till its too late. I believe if a woman is hale and hearty she can look after her family in a much better manner.
Whats your secret regime that make you look so stunning ?
A good night’s sleep is very crucial. We don’t realise the importance of sleep and many problems are solved if one’s gets proper sleep. In addition I use quality products, like moisturiser, makeup remover and eye creams.
Whats the right way to eating ?
The right way is fill your stomach 80%. Every once in a while fasting is good. Starving or dieting is not good for your system. I am a vegetarian and believe in eating everything in the right quantity.
Any Food Myth to you would like to burst ?
The funniest myth I heard was that papad stays in your stomach for two days. This is not possible because our system is such that it gets rid of or digests everything.
Your One Liner Motivation in Life ?
Loving oneself is very important, only when you love yourself, can you love others.
