Exclusive Interview With Stunning Model Mukta Chopra

What is Your Fitness Mantra in life ?
At a personal level, I unwind with working out and yoga. An average day would possibly have at least two hours of these two. Food has been another love of my life. My diet is balanced and I try my best to eat healthy. However, I do occasionally indulge in the fabulous cuisines from all around the world.
Your Inspirational Quote you follow by heart ?
My motto has remained “Focus and work hard -dont forget to be human” and I believe this is what has brought me to where I am today.
What Motivated you to be a model?
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. And that’s precisely how my story started as well. As a single thought. I was in the right industry, that of fashion, albeit as a student. I had the right exposure, only the right thought was to concretise and spur me to action. Despite my varied interests while growing up, the one passion that stayed with me and grew with me was to become a successful model. And the fashion industry ensured that I learn more about the industry and its workings. I grew up in a loving environment and my parents strived to enable each of their three daughters to follow their dreams unencumbered. After doing my fashion designing, I decided to be a part of an international Airline based in Hongkong and that meant a move to Hong Kong, more than 20 years ago. It was with joy and excitement I took up this new adventure. With the support from my husband and my friends, my career with my airlines took wings. And life took its own course. Soon came my two children and my world revolved around them and my flying.
Tell us something about your journey after your marriage? how do you balance personal and professional life ?
It was a few years back that my desire for modelling was rekindled. Some of the basic necessities for modelling were already in place-passion, a will to work hard, a congenial attitude and a deep love for fitness. After several stints of photo modelling and walking the ramp, I made it to top 5 and was adjudged Mrs Beautiful Eyes in the Mrs India worldwide 2014 Contest. Then I went on to win Mrs Universe South Central Asia 2016 and contested for Mrs Universe in 2016 where i was awarded the ‘Most Devoted ‘ title. This not only boosted my confidence but also spurred me to work harder. The contest also made me realise that the myth of age being a limiting factor is just that-a myth! If one has the determination and the confidence, everything becomes simpler. Since then I have worked with new and established designers, make up artistes, photographers, coordinators and the entire gamut of professionals who make modelling as beautiful and exciting as it is. I am asked several times how I manage my work, my passion and my family. I have rarely felt that there is a conflict in these vital spheres of my life. Planning and coordination ensure that each works perfectly smoothly and provides the immense satisfaction that they were naturally entail. Multi tasking is the forte of us women anyways. The challenges that may arise, if at all, I take in my stride.
