Any new projects coming up in 2019?
Yes, my film Bypass Road will be releasing this year. The date is yet to be decided. A couple of short films may also get released in 2019 but the dates are not yet fixed. As soon as they are fixed I will let you know.
Is marriage on cards?
Marriage has always been on the cards. It’s just that the moment hasn’t come yet. I am a very moment person so when it’s supposed to happen it will happen. I don’t really stress about it that much. We definitely want to get married but whenever it happens this year or next year, you will surely get to know. One thing is for sure, it’s going to be a sudden thing because every time I plan too much it doesn’t work.
What’s your take on youth getting into depression or mental problems this early?
I think for me it’s an ongoing process. Nowadays we are seeing it in the younger generation because of the media and because everybody highlights it and we are all connected. So whatever happens to one human is bound to happen to all of us in whichever capacity. Nowadays depression and mental health problems are really increasing also because people are talking more about it, people are stressed and there are thousands of unwanted and unnecessary stress that we did not have in early times. Life was much simpler back then and things were easier for a human to go through. Nowadays there are thousands of stress related to do with social media which has got nothing to do with reality. There are so many people I see are into depression due to social media. So many unwanted and useless things are happening in life and people are getting really really irritated. Its the behavioral pattern of everybody. How we behave with someone is how it affects the other person’s mind. So we all have to take a subconscious effort and take a decision that we are going to be nice and kind to each other. So this whole gigantic moment of mental health problems can be stopped. If not stopped at least can be lessened and cured in some way or the other. It can only be cured with love. Depression is nothing but the state of being loveless and once you find and give love we become better human beings. We are very simple species yet complicated for so many people. All we need to survive is love and once we give and receive love and we Learn how to receive love and respect it once received, things are going to be much better.
Your suggestions for women facing troubles is there married life!
Women are more prone to mental health problems because they are more emotional and the way we are made. We are made different than men. Our idea of tackling a problem is very different than men. So for women to not suffer, they need to take care of themselves. A lot of married women that I have seen devour their life for family, they don’t take care of themselves. They think not having friends is a good thing, giving all your time to your husband, kid and in-laws is the best thing. It really makes you sick unless you want to do it and are very happy and content doing it then please do it. But if you are doing it as an obligation it’s not going to work in the long term. You have to give some time to yourself. Make friends. Don’t be totally dependent on your husband or your kids. Have a life of your own. You will always have priorities set nicely. You will understand the meaning and value of each and every person and relationship in life. You will be able to distribute and give properly rather than just getting torn apart all the time by giving your all to just the family. That’s one thing that I have seen married women suffer a lot. Women, in general, are struggling even now. A lot of women don’t know their value. They don’t know their worth and that is something that really kind of puts them back and pulls them down. They don’t understand their value and underestimate themselves and let the other person rule their life and ruin it sometimes. So very very important to know your worth, who exactly you are. What are your priorities? What do you want? And then give only that much and don’t spoil people by giving too much and then realizing that you are left with nothing. I think this is something they can really improve and take in their life.
Your take on wellness and fitness in daily life?
It’s very very important. If I am not fit and healthy I just don’t feel right. It also depresses me. So a very big way to get out of depression is to take care of yourself. I know when you are in depression you don’t feel like it but if you’re in a habit of going out and working out every day, it might save you a lot of trouble because a lot of problems come from how we look, how healthy and confident we feel. If we don’t feel healthy and just for the sake of the world we keep saying we are fine but inside you do want to be fit, inside you do want to be healthy and you do want to look the best and wear all your favorite clothes. No matter how much people say whichever shape, size they are, they should be happy. Yes, you should be happy be with what you have but there is nothing wrong with seeing yourself with something better or striving to work towards becoming better in every way. Until and unless you are very happy which is great but I have seen that people are not. They just say it to make them feel look okay on a superficial level. For me, it’s important to work out and eat right every day. At least be aware of what suits you and what doesn’t, what makes you happy and what doesn’t. Don’t get into crazy diets. I don’t like to get into these crash diets and I do like to eat healthy. I do like to workout every day. I do like to look a certain way and I work towards what I want to achieve what I want from life and its extremely important for me.
