You clearly come across as a person with exception creativity. It reflects in your nature and in all of your work. What or who has been your inspiration ?
I would say Beyoncé is and has always been an inspiration for me. Just the way she is dedicated to her craft is so inspiring. Her focus and attention to detail and the way she constantly reinvents herself is something I find very inspirational.
You have hosted many TV shows internationally and in India too, you have also acted in movies. What turned you towards singing and music ?
Music is where I started actually and the rest came later. I began singing at the age of 4 and haven’t stopped since. Dancing followed shortly after and together they are two huge passions of mine. The anchoring was accidental but really worked for me!
Talking about your passion, if you are not in working mode, what do you rather choose to do ?
I love travelling, dancing, singing, watching movies or web shows. Laying on a beach in leisure and reading is also something I greatly enjoy.
What are your upcoming Projects we can look forward to in 2019 ?
A guest role in a web series which I can’t talk about yet , The stage Season 4 and a Marathi movie.
What regime do you follow for fitness & strength building ?
I train with my trainer Drew Neal 4 times a week doing strength training and boxing and I absolutely love it. I do some bootcamp classes the other two days.
Talking About Women in Indian Film & Entertainment Industry, what do you think we lack compared to the west ? Do we lack creativity or are we not experimentative?
I think things in the web space are really changing things in terms of representation of women and acting opportunities. Shows like Made in Heaven are really making this possible highlighting issues in the most beautiful way. We are being represented and spoken about in a positive way and I think that’s a great development.
What kind of challenges you have faced in achieving what you dreamt of?
Language has been a huge barrier for me in India so far but I think I’m slowly getting a hold of it.
Where do you see yourself five years down the line ?
I’m not sure I take each day as it comes and just try to go with the flow but there is so much I want to do and see and life can change in a moment so you never really know if making plans is the right thing to do.
